For Students

A product community @ UW.

No prior product experience required — just an interest in how products get made. You join a cohort, pick up product management, design, and marketing by doing them, and spend a quarter on a real brief for a company team.

What You Get

Three things we offer.

A Fellowship to Learn Product

A structured program that takes you from curious to fluent across product management, design, and marketing.

Firsthand Industry Experience

Real projects with top tech companies, scoped and delivered by student teams over a single quarter.

A Tight-Knit Community

Product enthusiasts who push each other, share what they learn, and stay close long after the cohort ends.

The Fellowship

Three tracks to explore.

Every fellow enters the program and explores product management, product design, and product marketing before going deep on the one that fits.

Product Management

PM

Learn how to identify user needs, define product strategy, prioritize features, and guide products from idea to launch.

Product Design

PD

Learn how to create intuitive user experiences through user research, wireframing, prototyping, and interface design.

Product Marketing

PMM

Learn how to position products, understand customers, develop go-to-market strategies, and drive product adoption and growth.

Community

You join a cohort, not a class.

Joining Product Space @ UW makes you part of a tight-knit group of product-focused students who keep getting closer. We show up for one another and help each other grow professionally, socially, and emotionally.

How to Join

Recruitment opens in the fall.

We recruit our next class of fellows during Autumn Quarter, once a year. Three steps, about three weeks end to end.

Come to a Recruitment Event

Info sessions and coffee chats where you can meet current fellows and ask what the quarter actually looks like.

Submit an Application

A short written application. We're looking for curiosity about product, not prior product experience.

Interview With Us

A conversation about how you think through problems, followed by an offer to join the incoming cohort.

Join Us

We can’t wait to meet the next cohort.
